Man Utd ready to sell Ten Hag favourite for€34m, Euro giants want him!

Paris Saint-Germain are weighing up a shock move for Manchester United midfielder Fred, according to The Sun.

The Brazilian is currently in his fourth season with the Red Devils where he has been used sparingly with just 642 minutes of playing time across 17 appearances.

There have been suggestions that he could leave the club and The Sun now report that PSG are preparing to make a surprise approach to sign the 29-year-old star.

United recently triggered a one-year extension in Fred’s contract to keep him until June 2024, but this has not deterred Les Parisiens in the pursuit of the player.

Erik ten Hag is a big fan of Fred and has been impressed with his attitude. However, United are open to selling him for £30 million (€34m) which PSG would gladly pay.

Fred could leave Man Utd next summer

Fred has been a fringe player under Ten Hag this season. The Brazilian has been a regular substitute in the Premier League. He has only started when Christian Eriksen has been unfit.

Hence, we won’t be surprised if the midfielder heads for the exit door. United have done the right thing by triggering the clause as they can now recoup valuable funds.

Ten Hag is eager to sign a young creative midfielder next summer and Fred is most likely to leave the club alongside Donny van de Beek, who has failed to prove his worth.

United have the chance to secure a good fee for Fred amid PSG’s interest. They will be hoping for a decent sum for Van de Beek too. He has looked out of his depth in English football.
