Manchester United are consistently linked with Joao Felix and the player is expected to leave Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window.
Gil Marin, the CEO of the Rijiblancos, has claimed that he would like to hold on to the player but the Portuguese international has other ideas.
Marin stated:
“It is reasonable to think that he will leave; I would love for him to continue, but it is not his idea ”
As per today’s version of AS (news image provided below), Man Utd are most interested in signing the Seleccao playmaker, who wants out due to the complicated relation with Diego Simeone.
The famous media outlet have mentioned that PSG and Bayern Munich are looking to lure the star as well and the Colchoneros are ready to sell him for a fee of £86million (100 million euros).
Felix is a proven quality player but due to poor relations with the manager, he has mostly been a bench warmer in the current campaign.
In the Spanish La Liga, the 23-year-old playmaker has only completed 90 minutes in a single fixture and started on just 5 occasions.
On the other hand, at the FIFA World Cup, the former Benfica man has impressed big time under the management of Fernando Santos.
In the opening game against Ghana, Felix provided an assist to help his team win the contest 3-2. Moreover, last night, he set up 2 goals in Portugal’s 6-1 victory over Switzerland in the Round of 16.
Portugal will face Morocco in the last eight and United should observe the performance of the talented playmaker.
In your opinion, should Man Utd bid £86million to sign Felix in January?
