Man Utd: £350k-a-week star’s future could be ‘on the line’ at Old Trafford

Manchester United wide man Jadon Sancho’s future in Erik ten Hag’s squad at Old Trafford could be “on the line” if his form for the Red Devils doesn’t turn around before the end of the season, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The former Borussia Dortmund man is currently enjoying a break from football, having not been selected for Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the World Cup in Qatar.

Having signed for Manchester United from Dortmund in the summer of 2021 for a fee of £73m according to BBC Sport, Sancho has been somewhat of a disappointment since his arrival at Old Trafford, according to Peter Schmeichel who was speaking on Sky Sports.

According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils are looking at a potential deal for Chelsea and United States winger Christian Pulisic, amid concerns over the former’s form for ten Hag’s side.

It is thought that the Blues would want around £35m to part ways with the American winger, and his potential arrival at Old Trafford could signal the end of Sancho’s time in Manchester, who earns a weekly wage of £350k-per-week according to Spotrac.

But Jones thinks it’s “probably a bit too early” to write off the 22-year-old’s spell at Manchester United as a “disaster.”
