Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close tabs on French superstar, Kylian Mbappe’s contract situation at PSG, with the Red Devils considering a move for the France international.
The former AS Monaco forward was widely expected to join La Liga giants, Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer, however, he ultimately decided to sign a new deal in the French capital.
Mbappe signed a deal until June 2025, however, according to L’Equipe, there is a clause in the contract allowing him to depart from the club on a free transfer in the summer of 2024, with the third year seen as optional.
The Frenchman’s current deal is believed to be worth in the region of £650,000 a week, and he has again been in strong form for PSG this season, founding back of the net nine times in seven games in all competitions.
In total, the 23-year-old has represented the capital giants on 224 occasions since arriving from AS Monaco, scoring 180 goals and 88 assists in the process.
According to Marca, the Red Devils have emerged as candidates for Kylian Mbappe, should he decide to depart from PSG on a free transfer in the summer of 2024.
The report suggests that the Premier League is ‘waiting’ for the Frenchman, with a number of sides being asked to be kept informed of any developments.
