Manchester United have officially announced the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, who mainly warmed the bench this term behind Rashford.
Marcus Rashford has been our main center forward under the management of Erik ten Hag and the England international has impressed in the current campaign.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then Man Utd are ready to agree fresh terms with the 25-year-old.
As per Fabrizio Romano (Caught Offside), the Red Devils will offer a new deal to the England international, who is highly admired by the Dutch manager at Old Trafford.
The Italian journalist stated:
“Manchester United will offer Marcus Rashford a new deal, it’s part of their plans. Even though his current contract expires in 2023, nothing is expected to end next summer as Man Utd have the option of a clause to extend his contract for one more year.”
“Erik ten Hag considers Rashford as really important player for the present and future.”
Rashford was out of form last term and managed to only score 5 goals in 32 appearances. This season, in 15 starts in all competitions so far, he has already directly contributed in 11 goals (8 goals and 3 assists).
In the opening group game of the FIFA World Cup against Iran, the 47-capped star came on as a substitute in the second half and found the net.
