Man United are considering the arrival of Declan Rice next summer. The Red Devils will go all out to sanction the arrival of England international at the Theatre of Dreams. Rice has been instrumental in West Ham United’s recent resurgence and has been a vital cog in their plans.
Declan has also been selected by Gareth Southgate to represent England at the 2022 World Cup and will be one of the first names to feature on the team sheet. The 23-year-old midfielder has a deal till 2024 and has so far refused to commit to his long-term future at the club.
If the English midfielder stays strong in his stance, the Irons will have to figure out a solution next summer as they won’t be taking the risk of losing him free. The Englishman’s stock could further rise after the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
But the Hammers won’t be getting that desired value and a stop-gap transfer in January may be very complicatedly from both ends. The Red Devils will not have a sufficient transfer budget to afford Declan Rice, while West Ham’s season will derail if they lose their most prized asset.
Man United will lose a whole lot of footballers next summer, so they will have the room to welcome more faces. Fred might depart from Old Trafford, while McTominay is likely to be pushed toward the periphery. Man United will thus be happy to spend their heart out for a footballer who could be a long-term investment.
