Manchester United have joined Liverpool in scouting Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, according to reports in the Italia media.
The Georgian, who has been already been nicknamed “Kvaradona” due to comparisons to the Argentinian legend, has been in outstanding form since moving to Serie A.
Kvaratskhelia has racked up eight goals and contributed 10 assists in 17 appearances for Napoli and his agent has claimed that he could now be worth €100m (£87.5m), which is substantial markup on the €12m he was signed for in the summer.
With United also interested in Kvaratskhelia’s teammate, Victor Osimhen, who is valued at a similar amount, it could mean that Erik ten Hag’s side could shell out around £175m on the pair of them.
For now, it appears that the Manchester club are simply keeping tabs on the two players’ progress but, if they continue to impress between and the end of the season, interest is likely to increase.
