tletico Madrid are gearing up for a move to land Man United attacker Marcus Rashford. England international who just turned 25, is in the last year of his current deal and could be a free player next summer.

Despite all the rumours regarding his imminent future Marcus is considered untouchable by the club hierarchy and Erik ten Hag already asked the club to accelerate a new deal before January when teams will be able to tempt the footballer.

The English winger has already proved to be a vital cog in Ten Hag’s rebuilding as the Man United academy product has been their main source of goals. The Englishman recently hit his 100th goal against West Ham United and would be very happy to extend his association with his boyhood club beyond the current season.

The new coach appeared to be not very keen to discuss contract situations in the midst of the campaign and was quite content with his position. But it is now suggested the former Ajax coach can’t risk losing him for free and has given his approval to secure the footballer’s future for a prolonged period.

The Red Devils can activate the one-year extension clause to bide time as they want to prevent any untimely accident as the player will be free to discuss terms with any clubs in winter. Convincing the English attacker won’t be an easy task as the Red Devils would push for a new contract as early as possible.
