Exit closer as Man Utd look to sign £255,000-a-week playmaker – Report

Manchester United were interested in signing Joao Felix in the summer transfer window but Atletico Madrid refused to sell him.

If the latest reports in the media are anything to go by then the player could finally end up leaving the Rojiblancos.

As per Cadena Ser, the Colchoners have taken a huge financial hit after getting completely knocked out of Europe. They need money and have to sell players.

In such a scenario, the Spanish news source have claimed Felix may depart the Wanda Metropolitano outfit. It is stated that every passing day, his exit from Atletico is getting closer.

The Portuguese international is not comfortable under Simeone and even the Argentine manager has rarely used the playmaker in the current campaign.

Felix, who takes home £255,000-a-week (The Sun), has only started 5 games in the league this season. Last weekend, he was brought on in the 60th minute when Cadiz were leading 3-0.

The Seleccao star managed to find the net twice but failed to save Atletico from defeat.

Cadena Ser claim Man United are interested in the former Benfica boy but this time, they will not make an offer worth 125 million euros. The 22-year-old can play in multiple offensive positions and has the quality to improve the attack at Old Trafford.

In your view, should Man Utd splash the cash to finally sign Joao Felix in the winter transfer window?
