Booked – Man Utd will move to secure signing of £51.8million star – Report

Manchester United are in search of new goal keeper and they have been heavily linked with Portuguese international Diogo Costa.

As per today’s version of O Jogo (press image provided below), the Red Devils are not fully convinced that the renewal of De Gea is the best solution for the future.

The Spanish international has serve the Old Trafford club for over a decade but in the past few seasons, his performances have been highly inconsistent.

In such a scenario, the Portuguese news source mention that Man Utd are targeting the signing of Costa, who has been in sensational form for FC Porto in the current campaign.

The 23-year-old was a key member of the Dragons’ who won the Primeira Liga title last season. This term, so far, he has kept 5 clean sheets in 10 league games.

On the other hand, in the UEFA Champions League, Costa has kept three clean sheets in the last three games to help his team book a place in the Round of 16.

O Jogo repor that Porto want to agree a new contract with their star shot stopper and increase the release clause of £51.8million.

Another famous Portuguese source in the form of Correio da Manha claim Man Utd have booked Diogo Costa and will move to secure his signing in case they decide not to renew De Gea’s contract.
