Man United enter the battle to sign €75m-rated Argentine centre-forward

Man United have entered the battle to add Lautaro Martinez. And the Red Devils have submitted an enquiry for the 25-year-old centre-forward’s availability. Signing a centre-forward has been a priority for the Dutch manager. And bringing in someone like Lautaro will just be an upgrade over Man United’s current attacking options.

Except for Ronaldo, the Red Devils currently do not have an out-and-out striker with a goal-poaching instinct. And Man United will be digging deep in 2023 to continue their search. Having overseen a solid start to their PL campaign, Erik ten Hag is open to letting more players join his squad.

And the Dutch manager only wants the perfect player to be associated with his principles. Martinez joined Inter back in 2018, and it did not take a long time for him to stamp his authority in Serie A. But many believe the Argentine has not had many difficulties in the relatively easy Italian top flight, and his actual test will come if he arrives on English soil.

But it is expected Lautaro will overcome all the criticism to acclimatise perfectly. It is still not clear whether Ronaldo will continue at Man United beyond January. And should he decide to leave, the Red Devils will certainly look to rope in a replacement. A premium amount will be necessary to snatch the 25-year-old striker from San Siro.
