According to The Times (Subscription Required) [h/t The Metro], Jesse Lingard has snubbed the latest contract offer of Manchester United and is ready to push for a loan move in January.

The Englishman has a little over six months on his current deal and shall be a free agent next summer. He has been frustrated for minutes as he is yet to start a league game this season.

Players like Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial have been selected ahead of him despite being out of form. In fact, he was perplexed when Daniel James started ahead of him just days before his move to Leeds United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may be a good man-manager, but his selection choices have been poor this season. Moreover, the player would feel betrayed, especially after the Norwegian guaranteed him game-time this season.

Thus, it is no surprise that the attacker snubbed the latest contract extension offer by the club. Moreover, they offered him a pay cut on his current salary. That might be the last straw for Lingard as he is ready to push for a loan move in January.

The 28-year-old has apparently already held talks with clubs in Spain. He had a stellar loan spell with West Ham last season as he helped them achieve Europa League qualification.
