Manchester United has renewed their interest in long-term transfer target Kieran Trippier, as stated by the Daily Mail.

They are interested in bringing him back to the Premier League but have to deal with a tricky £50 million release clause.

Last summer, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to land the Atletico Madrid man as an attacking alternative to first-choice Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

But the club failed to get him as the Spanish giants was reluctant to sell the Englishman for anything less than £40 million.

With the star being in his 30s, the 20-time English champions will be planning to get Kieran for anything less than £30 million.

However, now it has been stated that the Reds have to face stern competition from the domestic rivals Newcastle United.

The Magpies will be highly investing in the roster next summer as their new leadership want to build a strong team that is capable of winning trophies.

The club have the potential to activate Trippier’s exit clause which could be a huge blow for Manchester United.

The Red Devils was already in discussions with the full-back and will be trying to find an alternative option as soon as possible.
