‘Elite’ £67million attacker backed to agree Man United move

Manchester United lured a top winger from the Bundesliga in the summer by hiring Jadon Sancho, who directly contributed in over 30 goals in each of his three seasons in Germany.

However, since moving to Man Utd, the England international has neither scored a goal nor provided any assists under Solskjaer and is being labeled a big money flop.

This season, a Colombian attacker, Luis Diaz, has been in the lime light due to his brilliant form for FC Porto. The 24-year-old used to play for Junior Barranquilla and his former manager, Jaime Moscote, has backed him to move to the Premier League to play for either Man United or Liverpool.

Moscote told radio Gol Caracol (via O Jogo – press image provided below):

“He was a hard worker, one of the first to get to training and gave everything. He was very quiet, but he always said yes with the best possible attitude. The growth he had is due to the fact that he is a focused person, with clear goals, available and humble. He’s an elite player, a tremendous player,”

“Hopefully he makes it to the big European leagues. I would love to see you in England. It is fast football, which meets its characteristics. I imagine him in Liverpool or Manchester United”

Diaz is naturally a left winger, who has directly contributed in 13 goals (11 goals and 2 assists) in 16 appearances for Porto in the current campaign.

His contract with the Portuguese side has a release clause of £67million and as per Jornal de Noticias (image below), the Liga Nos leaders will only sell him in January if the clause is activated. In your opinion, is Luis Diaz good enough to improve Man Utd’s attack?
