Man United lead to agree signing of £60million playmaker – Report

Manchester United have been linked with Spanish international and RB Leipzig playmaker, Dani Olmo, for some time and the latest reports going on in the media seem positive.

Last month, Head of Football for Bild and Sport Bild, Christian Falk, reported that the Red Devils are one of the front runners to hire the services of the 23-year-old attacking midfielder.

More recently, Sport Bild (via Sport Witness), Olmo is tempted to agree a move to the Premier League and Man Utd are the first and foremost in the running to get his signing done.

The former Dinamo Zagreb man is an important member of the Leipzig squad. Last season, he netted 5 goals and provided 10 assists in the German Bundesliga.

Moreover, he was a key player for the Spanish national side that reached the last four of the European Championships in the summer. The La Roja were ousted on penalties by eventual champions, Italy.

Unfortunately, the 16-capped international has mainly been on the treatment table this term. So far, he has only started 4 games (6 appearances) and has featured for just 210 minutes in all competitions (Transfermarkt).

The Spaniard still has more than a couple of years left on his contract with the German side and as per reports, he is valued at £60million (The Mirror). Dani Olmo naturally plays in the No. 10 role behind the center forward and that position is currently occupied by Bruno Fernandes at Old Trafford.

Therefore, I do not think that the Man Utd should spend £60million to sign Dani Olmo. Instead, funds should be utilized to improve the central midfield. Have your say.
