EPL teams considering move for £75,000-a-week Man Utd playmaker

Jesse Lingard is willing to leave Manchester United in the January transfer market, with Premier League rivals Newcastle United and West Ham United both interested in securing the player’s signature.

He has played in more than 200 matches for the Red Devils since graduating from the academy back in 2011 under Sir Alex Ferguson.

The 28-year-old star has fallen down the pecking order in the latest years and spent half of last campaign on loan at the Hammers, where he netted nine goals and made five assists in 16 games.

They expressed interest in signing Jesse on a permanent deal last year but it emerged that the Red devils would block his exit unless a hefty offer was made.

He was happy with the board’s decision as he hoped to revive his United career and get back into Gareth Southgate’s England roster, but that has failed to materialise.

The attacker has played just 63 minutes of PL football this term and was an unused substitute in the humbling defeats to Manchester City and Liverpool.

According to Eurosport, the Irons are ready to offer Jesse an escape route from the club, although West Ham could face stern competition from the richest club in the world, the Magpies.

Their new owners have identified the star as a possible target as the side look to avoid relegation to the EFL Championship but David Moyes’ side’s superb form could sway Lingard.
