Despite interest from Saudi Arabia in the midfielder’s services, Manchester United seem to have complete control over the transfer situation with Sofyan Amrabat.

Al-Ahli is attempting to sign the Moroccan international despite already having players like Riyad Mahrez, Allan Saint-Maximin, and Robert Firmino.

But according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the 26-year-old has already agreed to personal terms with the English club and has prioritised a transfer to Manchester United.

Amrabat, who currently earns £30,000 per week in Florence, was reportedly presented with a higher salary offer from the Middle East club this summer.

La Viola is willing to sell their prized asset for around £26 million, and his £1.5 million a year contract is set to expire in the summer of 2019.

Additionally, they have already acquired Arthur from Juventus, who is adaptable enough to cover various positions in the middle of the pitch.

In this situation, United seems to be in charge. The Red Devils and Fiorentina are still negotiating the transfer fee as of right now, though.

The fact that Amrabat is the first name on Erik ten Hag’s list is also mentioned. The ankle injury to Kobbie Mainoo may have exacerbated the Dutch coach’s desire to bring in a new midfielder, who was already looking to improve his midfield depth.

It is anticipated that the 18-year-old defensive midfielder will miss the beginning of the upcoming season.
