Man Utd ‘one step ahead’ of Euro giants to sign ‘perfect’ €70m star

According to RMC Sport, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have a personal contract with Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund.

The 20-year-old is one of the top up-and-coming strikers in the world of football, and United recently made a verbal offer to sign him for €50 million plus €10 million in add-ons.

According to recent reports, the Danish international has accepted the terms of contracts from both United and PSG, but the former are currently ‘one step ahead’ of the competition.

Today, PSG formally offered Hojlund €50 million. They do not intend to meet Atalanta’s valuation of the center-forward at €70 million, excluding bonuses.

Hojlund’s signing by United is anticipated
Hojlund is currently being pursued by PSG, but they are hesitant to pay even close to the asking price.

United, on the other hand, appears open to discussions with the Serie A team. The club might put forth a new offer for the young Dane in the upcoming days.

Hojlund is the “perfect” candidate, according to United manager Erik ten Hag, to spearhead the team’s attack, but the Dutchman is willing to give him some time to adjust first.

It’s possible that Hojlund won’t start right away. Potential plans call for Marcus Rashford to lead the line for the team while he plays him from the left.

Although they are not close to signing the young Dane, the Red Devils are reportedly confident that he will be in the lineup when the Premier League season gets underway.

For United to convince Atalanta to sell, their offer may need to be increased to at least €70 million. Gianluca Di Marzio stated yesterday that Atalanta is looking at a €80 million deal with add-ons.
