Man Utd submit £34million offer to sign £52million Ten Hag favorite

It won’t be enough for Manchester United to sign Andre Onana, despite their £34 million offer.

Onana is Erik ten Hag’s “favourite” to strengthen the GK position, but the deal is currently difficult, according to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (news image provided below).

With the belief that it would be sufficient to close the deal, Manchester United moved in with an offer worth 40 million euros (£34 million).

Although Inter Milan has informed Manchester United that it will cost 60 million euros (£52 million) to lure the Cameroonian international away from San Siro, the Red Devils must pay that sum.

Onana, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, would prefer to remain with the Nerazzurri but would find his “mentor,” Erik ten Hag, at Old Trafford.

The African star is said to have “become a legend” by some accounts, but if a bid of between 45 and 50 million euros comes in, it will be difficult for the Serie A team to turn it down.

Inter allegedly offered a price of 60 million euros (£52 million) when Man Utd analysed the offer, according to GdS.

Last season, Onana played in 41 games across all competitions for Simone Inzaghi’s team, making 41 appearances, giving up 36 goals while recording no fewer than 19 shutouts.
