According to reports, Manchester United is stepping up their attempts to finalise the possible €40 million signing of right-back Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen, as his release clause is set to expire prior to Euro 2024.

With a tonne of goals and assists in a wing-back role for the surprise Bundesliga title-winning Bayer Leverkusen team, the outstanding Dutchman has been one of the standout performances in European football this season, which is understandable why Man Utd is interested in him.

For the Red Devils, Frimpong would undoubtedly be a major upgrade at right-back over players like Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and it appears they’re eager to intensify their chase of the player, according to Sport Bild, which Sport Witness reported and translated.

It’s unclear if United can maintain a competitive offer for Frimpong, however it’s certain that many other elite teams will be considering the 23-year-old this summer.
