One Manchester United player who makes £120,000 a week “will not stay at Old Trafford” this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Players for Man Utd that Ratcliffe may sell
Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the new co-owner, is getting ready for what may be a very busy first summer as Manchester United’s athletic director. He has appointed Southampton’s Jason Wilcox as technical director and Manchester City’s Omar Berrada as chief executive. Dan Ashworth of Newcastle United is expected to take over as sporting director.

Man Utd calls the manager of a 4-2-3-1 team to replace Erik ten Hag.
One admirer is Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Since Ratcliffe does not want to fire manager Erik ten Hag before the conclusion of the season, they may need to decide how to proceed with him. However, a number of possibilities, notably Thomas Tuchel, the manager of Bayern Munich, have previously been connected to succeed Ten Hag. Graham Potter, the former manager of Chelsea, is also a strong contender at Old Trafford.

Regarding players quitting, a few high earners could be on the verge of doing so. With a combined salary of almost £300,000 per week, Raphael Varane is poised to depart United in the summer, while Ratcliffe is prepared to offload Casemiro. Up to 21 players might depart during the summer transfer window, according to a March report from the Manchester Evening News. Romano has since provided an updated exit report on one particular player.

At Old Trafford, Donny van de Beek “will not stay.”
Speaking to GiveMeSport, Romano was “told” that United had “already explored other possibilities around Europe” for midfielder Donny van de Beek, who “will not stay at Old Trafford,” when the player was on loan at German team Eintracht Frankfurt.

“It seems likely that Donny van de Beek will rejoin Manchester United this summer after Eintracht Frankfurt chose not to activate the buyout clause in his loan agreement. Van de Beek will thus return to Manchester United, but he won’t be staying—I’ve been informed that United has already looked into alternative options for the Dutch midfielder to go this summer, including somewhere in Europe. He won’t be staying at Old Trafford; he will be on the market.”

Van van Beek, who joined Frankfurt on loan in January and has only made seven appearances in the Bundesliga, playing just 344 minutes, has had yet another forgettable season.

Since he has a contract with Manchester United that expires in2025, it makes sense for United to take his £120,000 per week salary off the books at Old Trafford. It will be intriguing to see if his next transfer away is a loan or a permanent exit.
