This summer, Manchester United want to offload a player who allegedly regrets joining the team for £350,000 per week.
James Ratcliffe’s hectic Sunday
After finishing the London Marathon, Sir Jim Ratcliffe made his way to Wembley to see Manchester United’s FA Cup semi-final matchup with Coventry City.

The Red Devils were leading the tie when he arrived at Wembley for the second half, but they eventually gave up a 3-0 advantage to the Championship team. Ratcliffe had stated before the game that the Old Trafford supporters would need to exercise patience. They nearly gave it away in extra time but won on penalties.
“With football, we’re not quite there yet. One of the main issues with football is that, although the new players are talented individuals, they are all on gardening leave when they join the squad. It’s a significant issue in football. The supporters are antsy. They must exercise patience as it’s a voyage. It’s not a switch for lights. We’ll make it right.
Ratcliffe’s remarks about gardening leave seem to be directed at Dan Ashworth of Newcastle United, who is being sought after for the position of sports director at Old Trafford. If Ashworth gets here in time for summer, he may collaborate closely with Southampton-based Jason Wilcox, the incoming technical director. Before Ratcliffe’s first full season as a co-owner, a number of arrivals and departures may be planned, and it appears that they are prepared to let go of one player.
Man Utd prepared to offload Casemiro
Football Insider claims that Manchester United is prepared to offload Casemiro this summer. This follows a subpar display at Wembley, when the Brazilian played centre defence with Harry Maguire and failed to convert a penalty kick during the shootout.
United is prepared to accept bids for Casemiro’s services in the summer, according to sources who spoke to FI. The goal is to remove the player’s massive £350,000-a-week basic contract from the books at Old Trafford.
Manchester United Premier League casemiro
Following United’s tie with Bournemouth earlier this month, Jamie Redknapp slammed Casemiro, who hasn’t exactly had the greatest of times in Manchester. Casemiro is a 32-year-old midfield player.
“I adore seeing him perform. However, he appears to be in Football Aid at the moment. He appears to be playing at a speed that makes the match seem enjoyable and like superstars are entering the pitch. No. You’ve played in the Premier League so much before. Other than running, it isn’t the case with anything.

In the Champions League, the manager is a genius.
Releasing the midfield player this summer may be in everyone’s best interests since there have been stories this season indicating that Casemiro “regrets” his choice to leave Real Madrid for Manchester United back in 2022. The upcoming months may herald a new era for the Red Devils on and off the pitch as they also seem to have replacements lined up for the Brazilian, with Fluminense defensive midfielder Andre a rumoured top target.
