Another injury problem for Man Utd. It’s Marcus Rashford this time.
Yesterday’s game between Manchester United and Coventry City was a complete mess. There is no escaping that simple truth. Although embarrassment was only avoided, the players’ level of humiliation was evident at full time.
Actually, there were two halves of the game. United had all control, but in usual form, the Reds let a 3-0 lead slip, which gave Coventry City the opportunity to force extra time and win by the slimmest of margins.
Injuries are an acceptable excuse for Erik ten Hag in certain games, but not in this one. Whichever side is used, United ought to win the match quite easily.
United appeared to have yet another injury issue following the game, as star player Marcus Rashford was seen hobbling out of Wembley. Journalist Nathan Salt deserves recognition for the video.
Right now, it very much sums up the season. Since the beginning of the season, United has struggled with more than sixty injury concerns. There isn’t a club that matches that figure.
It would surprise me if Rashy played in midweek given how quickly games are played. Since he hasn’t exactly been playing at his best this season, it could be a good idea for him to get the rest.
Amad is in the wings, waiting. Introducing the Ivory Coast player into the starting lineup may be a wise move to gauge his potential.
