A significant update on Manchester United’s search for the “amazing” manager that Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants at the team has been provided by journalist Fabrizio Romano.
After becoming a co-owner of the team earlier this year, Man Utd manager latest Ryan has had an instant impact at Old Trafford. He has made some significant backroom changes, the most recent of which being the arrival of Jason Wilcox from Southampton. If all parties agree, it is hoped that Dan Ashworth—an Englishman who will serve as sporting director—would shortly join from Newcastle United.
Ratcliffe must also make a significant choice about the manager, Erik ten Hag, who is under pressure to retain his position following a disappointing season. The Dutchman’s dismissal at the conclusion of the season is far from guaranteed, but if the team doesn’t make it to the Champions League, which seems very possible, people in high places may decide to let him go.
The united Erik-ten-Hag man
It’s safe to assume that Graham Potter, the former manager of Brighton and Chelsea, has been mentioned in connection with United a lot in the past several months. Then there is Roberto De Zerbi, the current manager of the Seagulls, who has been called a “genius” for his work at the Amex Stadium and for his outstanding football play.
Antonio Conte, who spent a lot of time in the Premier League with Chelsea, has also been connected to the position, although the fans might not be as fond of his more defensive style of play.
Man Utd manager update from Romano
Romano gave an update on United’s decision to name Gareth Southgate as their new manager while speaking with Give Me Sport. Romano, who was identified as Ratcliffe’s main target last month, has since acknowledged that he is now concentrating on his England obligations and has not made any contact.
“Gareth Southgate doesn’t even want to discuss his future with anyone before to the Euros. Thus, it seems to me that things are moving quite slowly in Southgate. It’s not as clear-cut as many media sources would have us believe. As far as I can see, things are still rather calm. There is no communication between Southgate and Manchester United since he is entirely focused on the Euros.”
Southgate, Gareth, England
Although Ratcliffe is said to prefer Southgate and has given him good marks in the process, hiring him as United’s next manager would really feel risky. Jude Bellingham has also expressed her admiration for Southgate, adding, “I think Gareth has done an amazing job in easing me in.”
Without a question, he has led England to the 2020 Euro Final and developed a cohesive group of players. However, he has never truly established himself at the club level, and the Red Devils have a massive task ahead of them.

Ratcliffe assiduously: Man Utd has a “increasingly insistent” interest in “monster.”
His team is already searching for a successor.
Assuming Ten Hag is removed of his duties soon, United needs to make this next decision flawlessly. Southgate is now too big of a risk. More safe picks are players like Conte, De Zerbi, and Potter who have all demonstrated their ability to thrive in the Premier League.
