Adrien Rabiot, a midfield player for Juventus, is rumoured to have “started talks” with Manchester United and Newcastle. Rabiot may be available this summer on a free transfer.

The French international’s Juventus contract is scheduled to expire in June, and talks to extend it are now at a stalemate.

Given that Rabiot is regarded as a midfielder with elite talent, teams around Europe are on high alert as a result.

Last summer, Man Utd was strongly linked to a bid for the 29-year-old midfield player; however, they finally opted to acquire Sofyan Amrabat on loan as a replacement.

Amrabat’s loan at Fiorentina will expire once he fails to make an impression at Old Trafford. In the summer, Man Utd may also consider selling Christian Eriksen and Casemiro as Sir Jim Ratcliffe rearranges the team.

Rabiot may consequently be pursued by Manchester United and Newcastle in an effort to strengthen their respective midfields.

CalcioMercato, an Italian publication, reports that Juventus may decide this summer to let Rabiot depart on a free transfer.

It is said that negotiations for a new contract for the Frenchman ended “months ago” because the Bianconeri thought his pay demands were “too high.”

Rabiot presently makes about £150,000 a week with Juventus, but given their continuous financial problems, they are hesitant to keep paying him that much.

Amidst the uncertainty surrounding Rabiot’s future, Man Utd and Newcastle are two of the teams that have “made contact” with his entourage.

Regarding Rabiot’s “possible scenarios” for the summer, CalcioMercato reports that he would be amenable to the idea of signing for a Premier League team.

Rabiot has made 27 appearances for Juventus this season in all competitions, with three assists and four goals.

Throughout his career, he has amassed an extremely amazing 21 major trophies, many of which he earned while playing for Paris Saint-Germain.

In light of this, he may end up being a useful signing for Newcastle or Manchester United. Whether one of the Premier League teams can entice him to come to England this summer will be intriguing to see.
