Gleison Bremer, a defender for Juventus, has Manchester United “ready to pay the clause” and will forego any possible talks with the Italian team.
La Repubblica claims that Manchester United is willing to put up the necessary funds in order to complete a transaction. They clarify that although Bremer was a vital member of Max Allegri’s team, his future is still up in the air and his continuity is in doubt.
The reason for this is because the Premier League, and more especially Manchester United, are prepared to pay the clause “without negotiation” in his present contract. McTominay discusses the Scottish form,… Juventus, for their part, would prefer to keep the Brazilian in the midst of their defence, but they must take any bids into consideration given the club’s financial circumstances.
For this reason, the €60 million clause in Bremer’s present contract is “a gate that could open wide” because, based on reports from other sources in Italy, it won’t become active until next summer.
The player’s entourage and Juventus have an agreement in place that says they will explore “the possibility of separating” if any suitors offer that amount. According to La Repubblica, Manchester United is willing to pay that amount in full and forego any negotiations in order to have a conversation.
However, it’s debatable if that’s actually the case. Over the past few weeks, this position has been taken by numerous Italian media, but it seems more like they are attempting to persuade United that they have the money to spend than that they are genuinely willing to. The circumstances surrounding Kim Min-jae from last season, when Italian claimed he would join Manchester United but unexpectedly ended up at Bayern Munich, are, in fact, extremely similar to this one.
For the time being, these reports should be taken with a grain of salt, but maybe United has learnt from experience and is now willing to spend rapidly on Bremer.
