Wow: Ratcliffe wants to sign “complete player” who has an “anti-Man Utd clause” in his contract

As Manchester United enters the Sir Jim Ratcliffe era, it seems likely that this summer will see the new owner crack open his wallet and provide Erik ten Hag’s team with a much-needed boost.

reports of a Man Utd transfer

Ratcliffe’s appointment at Man United appears destined to alter the transfer culture and help the Red Devils return to the top of the Premier League after somewhat disastrous recent windows at Old Trafford.

The main emphasis might be on choosing less expensive, possibly more efficient substitutes rather than shelling out big bucks for well-known celebrities. Sir David Brailsford, who will oversee the club’s daily football operations, will travel to Manchester with Ratcliffe.

According to the most recent speculations coming out of Old Trafford, United is reportedly interested in negotiating a trade for Donyell Malen of Dortmund, which would allow Jadon Sancho to stay in Germany. Additionally, Weston McKennie of Juventus is available this summer for a reduced price, and the Red Devils are interested in a move for the former Leeds flop.

In keeping with the recent pattern of potential business transactions, United now seems interested in signing a once-promising player with Premier League experience.

United are interested in Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz.

Man United is reportedly trying to recruit Real Madrid star Brahim Diaz, as first reported by HITC, according to sources close to the team. According to the source, Liverpool and a number of other elite Premier League teams are also interested in the player and were earlier keen to complete a deal.

The 24-year-old’s current contract with Los Blancos expires in the summer of 2027, and HITC believes that despite England’s interest, Madrid is not keen in selling Diaz. The offensive midfielder joined Carlo Ancelotti’s team this season after moving to the Spanish city for £15.5 million from Manchester City back in 2019.

A “anti-Man Utd clause” was purportedly included to Diaz’s contract as part of the agreement that saw him move from City to Spain in the first place. This clause stated that the treble winners would receive 40% of the transfer money should the player decide to move to the Manchester United team. Although this could ruin any possible trade, Diaz’s performance this year might persuade United to pay a premium to acquire their player.

This season, Diaz has produced some very impressive offensive returns, but his defensive contribution has been even more impressive. Ancelotti has occasionally used Diaz as a wing-back, and he has performed admirably in this capacity, elevating his already stellar reputation.

Diaz, Brahim
Because of his adaptability, the 24-year-old received recognition from Stefano Pioli, his former AC Milan manager. Pioli expressed his sadness to the press upon the player’s departure in the summer of 2023, stating that “it is a pleasure to work with him” and that “he is a complete player with personality,” after the player had been on loan with the Italian giants since 2020.

There may not be many more astute acquisitions than Diaz if Ratcliffe is sincere about turning around United’s performance, even if it means enriching himself at the expense of one of his team’s main competitors.
