Due to financial problems, Manchester United and Chelsea will be cautious this season after suggestions in Spain that Barcelona may try to cash in on a Barcelona player.
After leading Barça to a poor season in which the team failed to repeat their stunning title victory from the previous year, head coach Xavi has already declared his intention to leave the team this summer.
They are presently eighth behind league leaders Real Madrid and third in the standings, but they advanced to the Champions League quarterfinals by defeating Napoli on Tuesday night. Girona, the surprise package in second place, is only one point behind them.
Barcelona has been evaluating where they need to bolster the team as a result, and sports director Deco has a long list of players he wants to sign in the summer, including defender Joao Cancelo of Manchester City.
To make it possible, though, Barca would need to partly balance their finances, as Sport.es reports that several elite players’ contracts will need to be decided.
Jules Kounde’s interest could be rekindled by Chelsea and Manchester United.

Jules Kounde, Andreas Christensen, Inigo Martinez, Eric Garcia, Clement Lenglet, and Chadi Riad could be prime candidates for transfers, according to the report.
They also say that although Garcia, who is presently on loan at the City Group-owned team, would not be surprised by a permanent move to Girona, Christensen is adamant about staying at the club no matter what.
Given that Chelsea and Manchester United are both “very, very interested,” Barcelona may have to contemplate parting with the expensive Kounde in order to finance their summer ambitions. This is according to Sport.

The French international was named to La Liga’s team of the season twice, with Barcelona in the next season and Sevilla in the previous one.
Even though Kounde is still a mainstay in the first team at the Nou Camp, Sport.es reports that Barcelona is looking to revamp their roster under new coach.
