After an uneven season, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag may be under pressure at Old Trafford. Journalist Dean Jones has told GIVEMESPORT that if INEOS decide to make a change, former Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Julen Lopetegui would be a strong contender for the position.
Although Ten Hag doesn’t seem to be under any imminent threat, the campaign’s remaining results must improve. The Red Devils are still in the FA Cup, but have lost both the Carabao Cup and the Champions League. have also have a tough fight to make it into the Premier League’s top four.
Since departing Wolves a few days prior to the start of the season, Lopetegui has remained unemployed, and it’s possible that he’s been holding out for the right chance to return to management in England. The Spanish coach may be quite interested in the opportunity to oversee a team the size of United.
Lopetegui is expected to succeed Man Utd as manager.
According to reports originating from Spain, Lopetegui may be the future manager of Manchester United. When the Red Devils were going through a difficult time in December, the 57-year-old was said to be the front-runner. After leaving Wolves, Lopetegui has been jobless and has expressed his desire to stay in England when discussing his future plans.
“I’d like to remain in England. Our team is young, in my opinion, and we want to fulfil our potential. This nation has a unique approach to football; it boasts the greatest league in the world, the fiercest competition, and the best atmosphere for players, coaches, and supporters alike.”

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano asserted that the Red Devils are likely to allow ten Hag more time to develop his football and ideas, despite reports indicating that United may already be seeking a new manager. The former Ajax player and INEOS have a great working relationship, but for the rest of the season, he will need to have his team doing well.
According to recent comments made by former Manchester United defender Gary Neville, INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe will have already determined whether or not Jon Hag will be in control for the upcoming campaign. He thinks the team won’t wait until May to decide, possibly leaving themselves short.
Antonio Conte, Erik ten Hag, and Thomas Tuchel.
Dean Jones: Lopetegui would be the front-runner.
Jones has hinted that if United were to make the move to acquire ten Hag, Lopetegui would be a top contender for the position. Jones claimed in an interview with GIVEMESPORT…
“When you look at the levels he’s worked at, the way he fixes teams, the demands he places on himself and those around him, and the obvious desire he has to get another Premier League job, preferably one higher up the ladder than the one he had at Wolves, I think someone like Lopetegui is actually probably one of the more intriguing candidates.” I believe there’s a lot to think about. For the remainder of the season, I genuinely believe that Ten Hag is on trial. If Ten Hag were fired tomorrow, Lopetegui ought to be a front-runner for the position, in my opinion. If Man United doesn’t give him serious consideration for the position, I’ll be shocked. I believe that Lopetegui makes a lot of sense for United in this situation.”
United is reportedly targeting Zinedine Zidane.
If Zinedine Zidane were interested in taking over for ten Hag, Manchester United partial owner Ratcliffe reportedly had visions of getting the player to the team, according to Foot Mercato. The former French international turned down approaches from the Manchester team in the past, but he left Real Madrid and isn’t working at the moment.
The constant rumours that ten Hag’s replacement may be a succession of managers could be hurting the Dutch strategist. Ten Hag is going to concentrate on wrapping out the season strong because, if the rumours are to be true, he needs to have a successful finish to the season in order to maintain his position.
