The star of Manchester United, Casemiro, has spoken highly of his former teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Currently, the renowned Portugal international plays football at Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. After being let go by Manchester United in 2022, he joined them, and Casemiro thinks highly of him.
Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Casemiro of Manchester United, is “one of football’s all-time best.”
Cristiano Ronaldo was re-signed by Manchester United from Juventus in the summer of 2021 for a fee of £12.8 million (BBC).
At the time, many saw it as a historic signing, with supporters hoping Ronaldo would restore glory to United following years of futility.
Ronaldo’s debut season was excellent. For the Red Devils, he finished with 24 goals and three assists, but once Erik ten Hag was named manager, things took a turn for the worst.
After Ronaldo’s sensational interview with Piers Morgan, the Dutchman and the Portugal star fell out, and Manchester United decided to let him go.
Nobody can deny Ronaldo’s impact to Manchester United and football in general, regardless of what transpired. He is greatly admired by Casemiro, who played with him for many years at Real Madrid and subsequently at Old Trafford. Casemiro believes that he is among the greatest.
“It’s a pleasure to talk about Cris,” the Brazilian said to Manchester United’s official website. “He gave me loads of titles and goals.”
He was among the top three in the world during my generation. He’s unquestionably among the greatest football players of all time.
An examination of Cristiano Ronaldo’s displays at Al-Nassr
In January of last year, Cristiano Ronaldo finalised his free transfer to Al-Nassr.
Despite his advanced age, the Portugal international was always going to be successful in Saudi Arabia, and his stats don’t let us down.
Ronaldo has so far tallied 41 goals and 13 assists in 47 games across all competitions. That was an incredible comeback, and he doesn’t seem to be slowing down.
To put things in perspective, the Manchester United team as a whole has only scored 35 goals in the Premier League since the season’s beginning. We realise this is a ridiculous comparison.
