Although Sir Jim Ratcliffe has only been formally at Manchester United for a few days, if recent claims are to be accepted, he has already approved his first significant transfer transaction.
Long-term transformation is planned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Ratcliffe is not intending on hurrying things and has already laid out a three-year strategy to return the Red Devils back towards the top of the Premier League and European football, despite the euphoria that greeted his arrival at the Old Trafford helm.
It’s not a switch for lights. Ratcliffe told Manchester United supporters last week, “It’s not one of these things that changes overnight.”
“It’s important that we exercise caution and avoid rushing into finding the incorrect solution instead of walking to the right one. Change won’t happen immediately; it will take two or three seasons if we do things carefully, completely, and with diligence.
“You need to beg for patience from the supporters. I know that people all around the world like quick pleasure, but football isn’t actually like that.”

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is already impressed by the Man Utd player, according to David Ornstein.
At the club, he had faced pressure before.
His top priority will be cutting the team, since there are a lot of players on the roster who will probably be traded this summer. While there are doubts about Casemiro, Raphael Varane, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Christian Eriksen, and Sofyan Amrabat (whose loan is slated to expire at the conclusion of the season), Anthony Martial will depart on a free transfer.

Last summer, Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire were both heavily linked to transfers away from Old Trafford, and should Ten Hag decide they are no longer needed, that desire may be piqued once more.
Ten Hag asks for more defence troops.
New faces are unavoidable with so many possible exits, and sources from Spain indicate that Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has already given the order. The player he’s pursuing? Goncalo Inacio is a long-term defensive target who plays for Sporting CP in the top division of Portugal.
The Portuguese centre defender, who has been a standout for Sporting since joining the first squad, would give Ten Hag another left-footed defensive option to compete with Lisandro Martinez, who is starting to show signs of injury.
At the young age of 22, Inacio has already made five senior appearances for the Portugal national team. It is believed that he has a release clause of 60 million euros, or slightly more than 51 million pounds, in his contract with the Lisbon club. Ten Hag has long been rumoured to have expressly asked to join with United during the summer, and this story, which coincides with Ratcliffe’s formal arrival, claims that United is now “willing” to fulfil the provision in light of the incoming funding.

The report goes on to say that United ‘will have to fight with other European giants’ to pull off the signing, as Tottenham and Liverpool have both been linked to Inacio in the past, though Ange Postecoglou has since signed Micky van de Ven and Radu Dragusin. Liverpool has long been thought to be interested in replacing Virgil van Dijk.
