But because of his lack of playing time in the United first team, his value has drastically decreased. According to CIES Football Observatory, the jewel is currently valued at about £4 million, which is £33 million less than what Solskjaer and company spent for him in 2021.

Even though United over overpaid for Diallo, he is still a very promising young player. All he needs is a chance to show off his true qualities.

If not, it appears that this will be yet another costly error made in the years following Sir Alex Ferguson.
