Gazzetta dello Sport (page 15) reports that Manchester United is ready to make an unbeatable offer for Juventus center-back Gleison Bremer this summer.

Given that Raphael Varane’s contract ends on June 30, it is expected that the Red Devils will sign a marquee centre defender at the end of the season.

Bremer is the perfect addition, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who also states that the Brazilian is a “fundamental reinforcement” for United before to the upcoming campaign.

The Bianconeri would be forced to accept an offer that Erik ten Hag’s team is prepared to put forth. For the giants of Turin, it would be difficult to refuse a sum over €60 million.

The 26-year-old is determined to play in the Premier League as soon as possible.

Bremer would be a really valuable addition to United

The former Torino player has made a name for himself as one of Serie A’s top centre defenders.

He has an 87% passing accuracy rate during the current campaign. The Brazilian has 1.6 tackles, four clearances, 5.3 ball recoveries, and 5.1 duels won per game.

Among his best qualities are his aerial and physical presence, which makes him an ideal fit for manager Erik ten Hag’s need for a “physically strong” defence.

If United meets the Bianconeri’s criteria, a deal might not be too tough to pull off, as Bremer has aspirations of playing in the Premier League.

Bremer might be considered Varane’s replacement. His current €397,000-per-week contract has a one-year extension clause, but the leadership has decided not to activate it.

Right now, no contract negotiations are scheduled. Varane might have to accept a large pay cut even if a proposal is made, which seems unlikely given Al-Nassr’s interest.
