Calciomercato reports that Manchester United is getting ready to launch an offensive to capture Juventus center-back Gleison Bremer during the summer transfer window.

Despite signing a new long-term contract with the Bianconeri in December of last year, there has been ongoing talk that the Brazilian will leave the team in the summer.

The Red Devils have been keeping a close eye on Bremer in recent months, and they have already taken significant action to gauge his desire.

The former Torino player, who committed to a new long-term contract but is still transferable, is reportedly the target of an attack by United, according to Calciomercato.

But the Bianconeri will only part with him at the correct price. United has been “informed” by intermediaries that persuading the Turin powerhouses will require €70 million.

It has been determined that Bremer is the “most suitable” target to fortify United’s defence.

This summer, United is anticipated to sign a star centre defender.

This term, the Red Devils’ defence has been anything but impressive. Multiple injuries have resulted in continual changes to the central defensive partnership.

A strong centre back with a strong track record of fitness might be desired by manager Erik ten Hag to join the team. Before the upcoming season, Bremer would be the “perfect” addition.

With his skills, the 26-year-old can thrive in the Premier League. This season in Serie A, he has a strong passing accuracy of 87% and has won 60% of his duels.

In addition, he has averaged four clearances, 1.6 tackles, and 5.3 ball recoveries per game. This season, Bremer has contributed to the Bianconeri’s 11 league clean sheets.

When Raphael Varane’s contract expires at the end of June, he may leave on a free transfer, thus the Brazilian might be considered as a replacement.
