According to reports, Manchester United was in serious talks with Guirassy to recruit a striker during the winter transfer window.

However, the Red Devils’ dire financial situation prevented the relocation from happening.

On his podcast, renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently disclosed:

“The Stuttgart player Serhou Guirassy was very close to joining Manchester United.”

However, from what I’ve heard, financial constraints made the scenario unfeasible.

The Guinea international, who has been on a roll this season, is reportedly being pursued by Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, and Newcastle United, according to a recent story that SportBild published.

Guirassy is even better than Harry Kane, the great striker for Bayern Munich, having scored for Stuttgart every 62 minutes in the Bundesliga.

In the German league, the England international scores a goal around every 73 minutes.

According to SportBild, Manchester United is prepared to finally agree to his inexpensive summer transfer deal.

According to the reputable news source, Guirassy is currently valued at around £34 million, or 40 million euros.

Nevertheless, the 27-year-old centre striker is only available for a cost of £17 million (20 million euros) due to the modest release clause in the summer.

The striker is returning to Germany after Guinea was ousted from the African Cup of Nations by DR Congo last night.

Do you think Man Utd should use the £17 million clause to finally buy Guirassy this summer?
