According to a fresh transfer rumour, Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, personally wants to recruit a “fast and strong” striker this month.

“Brobbey News: Recognise that Ten Hag came up with the concept to sign Brobbey in the winter! Last summer, Brobbey and Man Utd were a big issue. The communication never ended. They both hold a great regard for one another.

“If Ten Hag remains the coach, a transfer will be discussed once more, preferably during the upcoming summer transfer window. Right now, Ajax is unwilling to sell him. Agreement valid till 2027. Zirkzee and Brobbey are on the list. This season, the 21-year-old attacker has 13 goals and 4 assists in 25 games.”

If a deal can be reached, Brobbey could be a wise addition for United, especially considering how the offence has struggled this season. While Marcus Rashford and Antony have combined for just six goal contributions in 37 Premier League games, Rasmus Hojlund has shown promise and is beginning to establish himself in the top tier. He has also had a strong personal Champions League season.

Pierre van Hooijdonk, a former Nottingham Forest player, has praised the Ajax striker, calling him “fast and strong.” His goal total of 11 in 22 appearances in the Eredivisie and Europa League this season demonstrates his skill in front of goal.
