‘The right player’: Erik ten Hag wants new signing with £36m star injured until November

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has made it possible to sign a new left-back after Luke Shaw sustained a muscle problem this week.

The crucial United star from England may not return to action until November as a result of his tragic setback.

Tyrell Malacia, who got an injury while serving with the international team, is currently out for at least a few more weeks.

As a result, the team is lacking in the left-back position. Later on today, Diogo Dalot might start in a supplemental capacity since Brandon Williams has been loaned out.

Alvaro Fernandez, a recent graduate who is running for manager, has not yet played for United. He wants to sign a loan with Granada.

Ten Hag stated that the club is open to seeking a new left-back, but it has to be the right player, prior to the match against Nottingham Forest.

It could be, he said, since we need to be prepared for everything. So, yeah, there may be chances. But the appropriate player must be involved. And if not, we are stuck with the current team.

“And, as I said before, I know we went through the scenarios with our transfer strategy before the season, and if that happened, we have the solution.”

For Man Utd, Shaw’s absence is a major setback.

Under Ten Hag, the star, valued at £36 million, has been the Red Devils’ undisputed starter. The timing of his most recent injury is unfortunate for the team.

The thought of adding another left-back has been welcomed by the manager, but United are only looking for a temporary replacement for Shaw.

Ryan Bertrand has reportedly been linked to the team over the past 24 hours. The former Chelsea player was let go by Leicester City and is now a free agent.

Although we have spoken with his agents, we believe that signing him would be a mistake. He has gone 612 days without participating in a match.

The Englishman has undergone numerous knee surgeries during this time, so signing him to a brief-term contract would be extremely risky for United.
