According to reports, Manchester United and Benjamin Pavard of Bayern Munich have discussed a possible transfer.

Do Man United plan to add a new defender?
Erik ten Hag and the Red Devils have been very active thus far this summer, bringing in Mason Mount from Chelsea as their first notable acquisition of the window.

Following David de Gea’s departure, plans are currently being made to replace him with Inter Milan’s Andre Onana, who is anticipated to take over as the new custodian. With an offer for Rasmus Hojlund made to Atalanta, Ten Hag also seems to be looking for a new striker.

Kim Min-jae has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United, but he is about to sign with Bayern Munich. Axel Disasi of AS Monaco is another player of interest, and it appears that Pavard is also on the Old Trafford radar. Nevertheless, defender rumours are still circling.

On Friday, Florian Plettenberg, a reporter for Sky Sports, posted an update about Pavard’s future on Twitter. With Pep Guardiola as a fan, he acknowledged that a move to Manchester City is an option, but he also said that talks have taken place with Man United and Juventus.

Guardiola really likes him and his versatility, so yes, Man City is a serious option for him.

But Pavard has more specific options because he is now firmly committed to leaving Bayern. Man Utd: Discussions were held. plus Juventus. Managers at FC Bayern hope to receive an offer soon.

Benjmain Pavard, who?
The 2018 team that won the World Cup in Russia included France international Pavard.

The 27-year-old has played 162 times for Bayern in four years, scoring 24 goals while playing as a right or centre back. Pavard has previously worked with Lille and Stuttgart before coming to Munich.

Neither does Pavard lack confidence; he believes he is a better and more capable right-back than Liverpool’s Trent Alexander Arnold and Paris Saint-Germain’s Archaf Hakimi.

“A central defender is what I do. This has always been my favourite place to be because it makes me feel most relaxed and at ease. I’m at my most comfortable here. I believe that in this role, we get to see more of my strengths.

“The great coaches must have faith in my abilities if they put me on the right side. I’ve always held a position with Deschamps. He doesn’t trust me because of my gorgeous eyes or hair. He is conscious of my attributes. After that, there are still some things I need to work on: I need to take more risks and initiative. I’m aware of this and I work on it every day.

“A defender must first play strong defence. Pavard may appear to be less attractive than Hakimi, Arnold, but I feel more complete defensively.

According to appearances, the full-back may be on the move to the Premier League. Should a move to England gain momentum, it will be interesting to see which side of Manchester he joins.
