Man Utd submit offer, hell-bent on signing £51million star

Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta is reportedly the target of Manchester United, who need to find a top striker.

The Danish international was signed by the Italian club last year in a deal of 17 million euros, but Corriere della Sera claims that the club has already received an offer that is more than double that amount.

Man Utd has been putting pressure on him to join with them for weeks and has even made an offer of 35 million euros, according to the Milan-based news outlet.

Although Atalanta declined, they are aware that the auction might bring in up to 60 million euros (£51 million).

Hojlund already made a suggestion that he would like to play for the Red Devils when he said earlier this month:

“I haven’t spoken to Ten Hag, but I want to play at the highest level, just like Manchester United does.”

The 20-year-old made direct contributions to 23 goals in all competitions in the previous season (16 goals and 7 assists).

On the other hand, the teenage centre forward has started four games and scored five goals for the senior international team thus far.

Rasmus Hojlund is a gifted prospect, but he is unquestionably still a work in progress. We have also been linked to goal scorers of proven talent like Kane and Osimhen, but they are anticipated to cost significantly more than £51 million.
