Turkish media reports suggest that Manchester United is interested in signing youngster Efe Akman from Galatasaray.
Today, GS Gazete revealed the Red Devils’ search for the 17-year-old in a piece by journalist Burhan Can Terzi.
Ajax is reportedly interested in the young player because their representative Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has been closely monitoring him in Turkey.
Next, it’s claimed that Manchester United is also ‘in contact’ with the midfielder.
Since Akman is reportedly “at the top” of Ajax’s wish list, the Dutch team is likely to compete fiercely for the player.
And given that Erik ten Hag left the Eredivisie powerhouses at the conclusion of the season, it’s possible that he brought that goal to Manchester United.
While Akman still primarily represents Galatasaray’s U-19 team and has yet to make his first-team debut, it’s not surprising that European powerhouses have already taken notice of his potential given that he frequently competes for them in the UEFA Youth League.
How much the Turkish side would ask for his sale is currently unknown.
